Integrated Agriculture Activity honors 169 stakeholders on World Agriculture Day
USAID-funded Feed the Future Nigeria Integrated Agriculture Activity (IAA) implemented by IITA and its partners honored 169 stakeholders from Adamawa and Borno states to celebrate 2022 World Agriculture Day. The event in Yola had government officials, dignitaries, and other participants from both states who attended the award ceremony and agriculture exhibitions.
IAA Chief of Party Prakash Kant Silwal, who elaborated on this year’s theme: “Growing a Climate for Tomorrow,” encouraged farmers to make the environment a safer place. Silwal used the occasion to commend the support of government officials, trainers, field agents, extension agents, supervisors, community development officers, and nutrition liaison officers, which the Activity has enjoyed since 2019. “We are indeed grateful for how much you have supported us in ensuring that the northeast does not lack sufficient food and nutrition,” he said.
