CNBC News published a report on the possible repercussions of looming tariffs from India. India has threated to impose retaliatory duties on a number of American products from apples to tree nuts in response to US imported steel tariffs. This could threaten a number of agricultural industries as the tariff is set to go into effect on August 4. Senior Research Fellow Will Martin was quoted, saying, “what tends to happen when these discriminatory tariffs go into effect is that you rearrange trade flows.”
