ClimBeR Climate Smart Governance Dashboard: Awareness Workshop

The purpose of this awareness workshop is to cultivate widespread awareness and understanding of the CGIAR Climate Resilience Initiative’s Climate Smart Governance Dashboard (CSG) among key stakeholders. This will help promote its utilization and integration into climate resilience efforts and support the implementation process of national adaptation plans (NAPs) by linking it with NDCs, which can ultimately lead to impact by accelerating enhanced adaptation action.

Key Objectives:

• Knowledge Dissemination: Equip participants with comprehensive knowledge about the CSG Dashboard, its functionalities, data sources, and applications for climate-smart governance practices.
• Capacity Building: Enhance participants’ capacity to interpret, analyze, and utilize CSG Dashboard data to inform policy and decision-making processes related to climate adaptation and mitigation.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Foster dialogue and collaboration between diverse stakeholders (government agencies, researchers, practitioners, community groups, private sector) on leveraging the CSG for collective climate action.
• Advocacy and Partnerships: Encourage participants to become advocates for the CSG and explore potential partnerships for its wider adoption and impact.

Overall, this workshop aims to:

• Increase awareness and adoption of the CSG Dashboard as a valuable tool for national to provincial, and sectoral level coordination and planning.
• Empower stakeholders to leverage data and insights for more informed decision-making and strategic planning.
• Foster a collaborative approach to advancing national climate adaptation and resilience building.
