Dr Ellis was one of seven recipients of the inaugural Legacy Award awarded by the CropTurst to individuals who have dedicated their careers to crop conservation. Six of the recipients are retiring managers at the vitally important genebanks of CGIAR, which conserve and share hundreds of thousands of seeds of food and forage crops
