World Congress on Agroforestry kicks off today

Monday 20 May 2019, Montpellier, France– The Fourth World Congress on Agroforestry opens today. World Agroforestry and more than 1200 agroforesters, researchers, decision-makers, students, business leaders and NGO leaders from over 100 countries are gathered for the largest global congress in Agroforestry.
For three days, participants will discuss, debate and share best practices around the vital role agroforestry plays in solving some of the world’s most pressing problems including food and nutrition security, climate change, land degradation, livelihoods, sustainable management of forests and access to energy.
