The objective was to thoroughly share the details of the project and discuss the communication commitments of each partner with the donors and the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development. However, the meeting also allowed time to address key project topics such as climate change, the adaptation and mitigation practices carried out within each production system under the project, and their direct impact on agri-food systems, livelihoods, and Colombian families.
Additionally, through participatory methodologies developed by Organizational Coach Diana Madrigal, spaces for collective construction, interaction, and knowledge exchange were created among participants. Most importantly, there was a close recognition of each attendee, aimed at facilitating the communication of the project through the official channels of Sustainable Agro-Food Colombia, as well as through each partner’s communication channels.
On the other hand, within the content and methodologies for the appropriation of the topics, the Community of Practice of Communicators (based on the project’s objectives) had the opportunity to collectively build the vision that identifies them as ambassadors of the countryside: “We are a harmonious network that connects and co-constructs spaces for knowledge exchange through communications to improve and strengthen the Colombian agricultural sector’s capacity for adaptation and mitigation in the face of climate threats.”
Throughout the event, the communicators reiterated their commitment to continue working for a Sustainable Agri-Food Colombia, because together we are strong, but united, we can make a difference.
