WorldFish has been pioneering the gender-transformative approach in fisheries and aquaculture since 2012. In this special timeline, developed for International Women’s Day, we look at the genesis, testing and uptake of the approach within and through our research, including FISH, and start to map its progress toward broader application, with the goal of enabling the achievement of the sustainable development agenda, notably SDG 5 (gender equality).
