A new book, Successful agroforestry models for different agro-ecological regions in India, was launched by Dr Trilochan Mohapatra, Secretary, Department of Agricultural Research and Education and Director-General, Indian Council of Agricultural Research, Government of India.
‘This publication will be useful not only for farmers,’ said Mohapatra, ‘but also extensionists, researchers, research managers, teachers, students, agroforestry-dependent industries and policy makers’.
Published jointly by the Indian Council of Agricultural Research, the Central Agroforestry Research Institute (CAFRI) and the South Asia Regional Programme of World Agroforestry, the book presents a comprehensive account of40 successfully tested agroforestry systems for 20 different agro-ecological regions in India.
