Ram Kiran Dhulipala

Director, Digital Transformation Accelerator

Ram brings more than 20 years of experience across both the public and private sectors, with a strong track record in digital innovation, technology management, corporate strategy, and applied research. He is currently a Senior Scientist with the Livestock Climate and Environment (LCE) Program at the International Livestock Research Institute (ILRI) in Nairobi, where he has also been serving as Interim Director, Digital Transformation Accelerator.

Prior to joining ILRI, Ram served as Cluster Leader for Digital Agriculture at ICRISAT in Hyderabad, India. There, he co-founded the organization’s digital agriculture innovation platform (iHub) and mentored more than 20 AgTech start-ups across Asia and Eastern and Southern Africa. Earlier in his career, he held several mid- to senior-level executive roles in the private sector, where he gained extensive experience in technology management, corporate strategy, corporate finance, and software development.

Ram holds an undergraduate degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from JNTU College of Engineering, Hyderabad, and an MBA from the Indian Institute of Management Calcutta. His research interests include digital climate-smart agriculture, innovation ecosystems, digital livestock value chains, and the socio-economic and political dimensions shaping the digitalization of agriculture.

His role as Director, Digital Transformation Accelerator will start on 18 July 2026.
