Architect

The International Institute of Tropical Agriculture seeks suitable Nigeria Nationals for the position below at the Institute’s headquarter in Ibadan.

Position: Architect   

Duration: 6 months’ renewable                                             Location: Ibadan

Closing Date: 23 May 2025

DUTIES:

•  Discuss the objectives, requirements, and budget of a project.

• Consult with other professionals about the design and building.
• Prepare and present feasibility reports and design proposals to the client.
• Advise clients on the practicality of their project.
• Produce detailed working drawings and specification for IITA projects.
• Specify the nature and quality of materials required for a project.
• Prepare tender documents and presentation.
• Prepare documents for planning and building with control.
• Project management and supervision of contractors.
• Resolve construction related problems.
• Managing project, work in progress, and ensuring that the project is running on time and no budget.
• Perform any other duty as may be directed by the Supervisor.

Requirements

QUALIFICATION:                        

HND/BSc in Architecture or related field with a minimum of four (4) years’ experience performing a similar role in a well-structured environment.

COMPETENCIES:

The ideal candidate must:

• Have experience in structural design work.
• Have the ability to read blue prints. 
• Be able to help in planning and control specification of various buildings.
