The Nagoya Protocol provides concrete mechanisms for countries providing plant genetic resources to be able to follow up and attempt to bring legal action against those who aren’t complying with mutually agreed terms. But the Protocol can be mighty perplexing. The CGIAR Genebank Platform’s Policy Module has prepared the Guidelines on the Nagoya Protocol for CGIAR Research Centers to help genebank managers understand Nagoya.
