As 2018 comes to an end, we take a moment to review and reflect on our key accomplishments over the past 12 months. It was an exciting year of progress for FISH, as our research activities got fully underway following the launch of the program in 2017.
We worked on completing the theories of change for sustainable aquaculture and small-scale fisheries across focal countries in Africa, Asia and the Pacific, aligning our research interventions with clearly defined development outcomes within each country. In September 2018, we held the first integrated program planning and budget workshop to enhance the focus and prioritization of our research activities. We also rolled out a new Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning Platform that will enable us to apply results-based management approaches to planning, implementing and evaluating the impact of our work in 2019.

There is growing recognition of the important role fish plays in the global food system, and we look forward to continued collaboration with all our partners as we work to enhance the sustainability, productivity and access to fish for those who need it most.
