The Fight for Sustainable Food

Our planet is under pressure. Climate change, environmental degradation, and water scarcity are pushing global food systems to the brink. And at the heart of this crisis lies agriculture—one of our most essential, but also most environmentally damaging, activities.

As the global population grows and the climate becomes more extreme, agriculture must evolve. It must become not just more productive, but more sustainable.

At King Abdullah University of Science and Technology—KAUST—they believe science must do more than inform. It must transform. That’s why they are focused on turning discovery into delivery—bringing innovative solutions from the lab to the field, where they’re needed most.

About The Campaign

WebsEdge is a global knowledge-driven media company connecting the world’s sharpest minds with international audiences.

CGIAR has partnered with WebsEdge, to launch the With Science We Can Campaign – a multiplatform documentary project set to premiere at COP30 in Belém, Brazil on the 12th of November

The campaign centers on a 25-minute documentary showcasing how CGIAR and its partners research and develop science-driven solutions to build climate-resilient food systems, reduce poverty, and safeguard the planet while helping lift millions out of hunger and poverty.

Complementing the film are five thought-leadership films spotlighting visionary external innovators – start-ups, policy think-tanks, and grassroots cooperatives – turning research into real-world impact that is reshaping the future of agriculture.
