IFPRI Research Analyst Ernesto Tiburcio published an article in Mexican paper El Universal, summarizing the plight of the Rohingya refugees. The article recognizes the abuse perpetrated against the Muslim minority group and the massive international support from various humanitarian and governmental organizations. Tiburcio notes there is always more to be done. The refugee camp is overcrowded and resources are scarce. However much difficult life is for the Rohingya people, Tiburcio notes, “this tragedy has not broken the human determination to live better than yesterday.”
