Every year, when temperatures drop across parts of Zambia, fish farmers and researchers face the same challenge. Cooler water slows fish growth, reduces feed intake, and extends the time needed for fish to reach market size. At the Natural Resources Development College (NRDC) All-Weather Wet Laboratory, water temperatures can fall to around 21°C during the cold season, creating conditions that affect both research activities and aquaculture production.
