The International Livestock Research Institute is working on two new research projects in rangeland areas of Ethiopia, Kenya and Somalia to improve animal health services. Through a One Health approach, the projects also seek to improve human health and the environment. Participatory mapping of livestock routes was carried out as an important first step to aid in planning of interventions among the pastoral livestock-keeping communities in the project areas.
