Food crisis looming: Millions could face starvation (Karar)
Karar published an article stating how tens of tons of food is wasted in the world every year, and millions of people struggle with hunger. The phrase “climate change is a growing threat to the food system” was used in IFPRI’s 2022 Global Food Policy Report. In the report, which noted that climate change adaptation is urgent and feasible for the food system, it was warned that food production, distribution and consumption practices should be adapted to climate change. It was stated that the changes in the frequency and severity of droughts and floods put farmers in a difficult situation, and it was recorded that it also made it difficult to raise crops and animals.
