Too many live under food insecurity. And current food price volatility and other health, financial and environmental crises have exposed the fragility of our global and local food systems. Building resilient local food supply chains is a key solution requiring integrated and territorial approaches to strengthen short supply chains, boost local production, including improving access to domestic finance for local producers, stimulating the market economy, and addressing both the supply and demand sides of local food systems. This session will introduce these challenges and discuss potential scalable solutions.
