The Financial Times – Climate Capital Live 2024

Climate Capital Live 2024, hosted by the Financial Times, will be held in London, United Kingdom, on the 13th and 14th of March, 2024. 

The event is set to be a cornerstone event for global climate action, following the significant outcomes of COP28.

At COP28, the global community acknowledged the pressing need to transition away from fossil fuels, aligning with the scientific consensus on mitigating climate change. This pivotal moment has led to a surge in national commitments towards achieving the 1.5C target, emphasizing the urgent need for tangible actions from both governments and businesses.

Climate Capital Live 2024

Under the moderation of the Financial Times’ senior journalists, Climate Capital Live 2024 will bring together a distinguished assembly of climate leaders, policymakers, corporate executives, and financiers to tackle the critical challenge of moving from climate commitments to real-world implementation.

The Summit aims to provide a dynamic platform for discussing the practical steps required to actualize net-zero ambitions, focusing on the intricate balance between policy innovation, business strategy adaptation, and the mobilization of green finance.

CGIAR Participation

Aditi Mukherji, Director of CGIAR’s Climate Adaptation and Mitigation Impact Area Platform, will be speaking about how to overcome roadblocks to net zero implementation in the panel titled “Can the world feed itself sustainably? Making food security and emissions reduction a unified goal.” The event will start at 12:20 on the 14th of March.
