Gender-sensitive and gender-inclusive peace initiatives are essential in securing sustainable and durable peace, and the gender dimension of the climate security nexus overlaps with this. This initiative endeavors to improve understanding of the gender-specific security risks of climate variability and change, and the role that these impacts play in the promotion of an inclusive and peaceful society.
