Both the Latin America and Caribbean Climate Week and CGIAR share common goals related to addressing climate change and its impacts on agriculture, food security, and sustainable development in the Latin-America and Caribbean regions. Climate resilience, sustainable agricultural practices, adaptation strategies, capacity building, and policy advocacy are among them.

The Latin America and Caribbean Climate Week is one of four Regional Climate Weeks that will be held this year to build momentum ahead of the UN Climate Change Conference COP28 in Dubai and the conclusion of the first global stocktake, designed to chart the way for fulfilling the Paris Agreement’s key goals.
