The Times Group will host the 8th edition of The Global Business Summit in New Delhi on the 9th and 10th of February, 2024.

This year’s theme will be the following: “Can we achieve a global hunger-free future amid the current food crisis?”

Navigating the Food Crisis

The Global Business Summit brings together leading minds to tackle the complexities of the current global food crisis, exacerbated by the pandemic and geopolitical conflicts.

The focus is on transforming our food systems towards sustainability, emphasizing agriculture, nutrition, and effective policy-making to move from aspiration to action in achieving zero hunger.

The Summit’s Agenda

This year’s Summit agenda is crafted to explore crucial questions and solutions, including creating a roadmap for a hunger-free future, understanding the current state of global food security, and identifying immediate action plans and sustainable strategies.

A key outcome will be a comprehensive whitepaper, encapsulating the Summit’s discussions. This document will propose policy improvements, infrastructure development strategies, social safety nets, climate change adaptation measures, best practices, and collaborative efforts necessary for advancing global food security.

CGIAR Participation

CGIAR’s Regional Director for South Asia, Temina Lalani-Shariff, will participate as a speaker during the “Food for thought: Crafting strategies for a hunger-free tomorrow” panel on the 10th of February, from 17:00 to 18:00.
