2021 Borlaug Dialogue: Gaining Momentum: Food systems transformation in the Decade of Action

A hybrid convening of food system leaders and champions to explore partnerships and strengthen alliances in the fight against world hunger and malnutrition.

From 19 to 23 October, we celebrated WorldFish’s Global Lead for Nutrition and Public Health Shakuntala Thilsted who was honored with the 2021 World Food Prize for her influential work on nutrition, fish, and aquatic food systems.

The award ceremony coincided with a series of Borlaug Dialogues, exploring actions to transform food systems to deliver improved nutrition, resilient ecosystems and secure livelihoods for millions of vulnerable people.

Along with Thilsted, WorldFish’s Director General Gareth Johnstone and other representatives joined an array of scientific experts, policy leaders, business executives and farmers to help build alliances and address global food and nutrition security across the globe.
