Lotte Pang

Lotte Pang is Managing Director, Communications and Outreach, CGIAR, and based in Rome. She is an experienced communications professional with extensive global experience. She has, most recently, advised and provided coaching to a number of organizations, including McKinsey & Company and the World Bank Group, while based in France. Prior to that, she spent ten years working at the World Bank Group, including as Global Head of Media and Broadcast based in Washington D.C., IFC’s head of communications for Europe, Central Asia, Middle East and North Africa based in Istanbul, Turkey, and head of global financial markets communications. Previously, she established the communications function across Asia for Macquarie Bank.

She spent a decade in publishing, working as a journalist, columnist, and editor in Asia and London. She led the online editorial team at the South China Morning Post and was also the newspaper’s personal finance and investment columnist while based in Hong Kong. She was a journalist and then editor for a number of titles at Euromoney Publications in London and Asia. She started her career with Index on Censorship in London, and also spent a year working with the Cabinet of Lord Leon Brittan at the European Commission in Brussels.

She holds a first class Honours degree in Philosophy from Durham University and a Master of Science degree in Philosophy and International Relations from London School of Economics.
