Do you have cutting-edge research, innovative solutions, or groundbreaking ideas in agricultural technology, fertilizer or soil health? If yes, you are invited to submit papers for the Fertilizer and Soil Health Conference in Africa: Emerging Lessons and Evidence for Policy Guidance – Research & Policy Conference happening on March 27, 2024, hosted by the CGIAR Research Initiatives on National Policies and Strategies (NPS) and Excellence in Agronomy (EiA).
We invite you to contribute your expertise on a range of topics including:
- Emerging agricultural technologies
- Fertilizer and soil health management
- Case studies, best practices and success stories
- Policy and regulatory frameworks for sustainable agriculture
- Climate change resilience in Agriculture
Some of the papers presented in this conference will be invited for submission to be peer-reviewed for a potential publication as part of a special issue of Food Policy. For more information on this special issue, please visit Food Policy’s Call for Papers on Fertilizer and Soil Health Policies.
This special issue will update and advance the evidence-based debate on the role of fertilizer, soil health, and public policy in improving productivity, sustainability, and welfare outcomes in smallholder production systems, particularly in light of the ongoing global economic crises.
Travel cost and accommodation:
The conference will cover the travel cost and accommodation for a limited number of presenters based in Africa.

Deadline for submission: The deadline for submission is February 28, 2024. We encourage both completed as well as work in progress who can benefit from comments. Authors will be notified of the outcome of their submission by March 05, 2024.
