We are thrilled to announce that the past year has witnessed significant milestones in the organizational landscape of CGIAR. One CGIAR, our ambitious and transformative reform, has successfully progressed, aligning the strengths and expertise of our Research Centers and their partners. This collaborative integration has allowed us to leverage our collective potential, streamline operations, and enhance our ability to deliver impactful outcomes on a global scale.

Furthermore, in 2022 we were pleased to introduce our newly established Senior Leadership Team, composed of exceptional leaders from diverse backgrounds. Their expertise, combined with their shared vision for innovation and collaboration, will undoubtedly drive our collective endeavors to new heights. This remarkable team ensures that we possess the necessary knowledge, skills, and resources to confront the complex challenges that lie ahead.

One of the most significant achievements of 2022 was the launch of the CGIAR Research Portfolio. This momentous step represents the operationalization of our CGIAR Research and Innovation Strategy, aligning our research agenda with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and the Paris Agreement. The Portfolio encompasses a comprehensive range of programs, each addressing critical climate-related challenges and encompassing the full breadth of CGIAR's expertise.

By strategically consolidating our research efforts through the Research Portfolio, we are now better positioned than ever before to deliver impactful outcomes. It enables us to pool our resources, knowledge, and expertise to tackle the most pressing climate adaptation and mitigation priorities. This coordinated approach empowers us to catalyze transformative change in agricultural systems worldwide, forging pathways for sustainable development and fostering resilience in the face of a changing climate.
