NEXUS Gains: Focus on Impact Areas

The CGIAR Initiative on NEXUS Gains published a series of impact area briefs detailing how the Initiative’s five work packages have contributed to each of the five CGIAR Impact Areas:

• Climate change adaptation and mitigation
• Environmental health and biodiversity
• Gender equality, youth, and social inclusion
• Nutrition, health, and food security
• Poverty reduction, livelihoods, and jobs

NEXUS Gains also published a series of briefs sharing examples of its work in each of the transboundary river basin regions where it focused its research:

• Aral Sea Basin (Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, and Uzbekistan)
• Blue Nile Basin (Ethiopia and Sudan)
• Ganges River Basin (India and Nepal)
• Incomati and Limpopo Basins, specifically the Shashe sub-basin (Botswana, Eswatini, Mozambique, South Africa, and Zimbabwe)
• Indus Basin (Pakistan)
