- Update and implement
the RTB communication strategy in coordination with partner Centers, programs
- Leverage the
capacities of RTB partners to raise awareness of the objectives and outcomes of
- Ensure the knowledge
generated by the program and its partners is open and accessible.
- Identify and
coordinate media opportunities, including preparing press releases and opinion
- Coordinate, write,
edit and upload blogs for the RTB website.
- Manage publishing of
- Manage and maintain
RTB social media channels.
- Monitor and evaluate
media, social media, newsletter, Google Analytics and altmetrics data.
- Develop and implement
communication plans for RTB’s presence at international events.
- Lead the preparation
of the RTB Annual Report, including story selection and messaging, writing and
editing, supervision of consultants, and providing direction for print and web
versions of the report.
- Bachelor’s degree (Masters preferred) in
journalism, communication, marketing or a related area.
- Five (5) years of professional
experience in developing and implementing communication strategies or exemplary
communications results in fewer years.
- Demonstrated experience working with media.
- Dynamic, accomplished storyteller
across communications platforms, strategic, able to leverage the capacities of
- Strong and effective use of social
- Knowledgeable and familiarity with public
- Experience with website content
- Excellent communication and
- Proven ability to work in
multidisciplinary and multicultural teams.
- Proactive approach, with ability to
find creative ways to solve problems or exploit potentials.
- Excellent writing and oral
communication skills in English. Spanish language skills a plus.
- Experience with international
agricultural research for development, CGIAR, and CGIAR Research Programs a
written and oral communication skills in English, working knowledge of Spanish
