Critical literature review sheds light on drivers of food systems

The rapid transformation of food systems, particularly in low- and middle-income countries, will have impacts on development, sustainability, national economies and health issues ranging from stunting and micronutrient deficiencies to overweight, obesity, and noncommunicable diseases. To better understand what is driving these transformations and identify areas of future research in this area, A4NH scientists from the International Center for Tropical Agriculture and colleagues analysed current research on food system drivers. The study was published in Global Food Security in 2019.
