About the event

The Norman E. Borlaug International Dialogue for 2024 adopts the theme “Seeds of Opportunity: Bridging Generations and Cultivating Diplomacy,” inspired by Dr. Norman Borlaug’s lasting vision of overcoming barriers and surpassing boundaries to achieve global food security.

This theme highlights the critical role of combining historical knowledge, modern innovations, and future necessities by utilizing agricultural technology to tackle current challenges. It emphasizes the importance of collaboration between generations and diplomatic efforts to find sustainable solutions.

By bringing together diverse participants — from local farming communities to top corporate executives, from passionate youth voices to the experienced insights of established experts — we aim to create a fertile environment for innovation, cooperation, and opportunity.

This effort is crucial for maintaining crop diversity and protecting essential resources to ensure a secure global food supply in the face of upcoming threats.
