Africa Agriculture Policy Leadership Dialogue (AAPLD)

The Africa Policy Leadership Dialogue is organized by the World Bank.  The focus is on Food System Transformation applying the framework of incentives, innovation and investment to discuss and hopefully agree on addressing key policy issues.  The importance of the innovations agenda is critical to what happens next in Africa, as are the incentives or the overall enabling environment and investments in innovation to make this happen.

CGIAR Executive Managing Director, Claudia Sadoff, and CGIAR Managing Director of Systems Transformation and IFPRI Director General, Johan Swinnen, will speak at a high-level panel on Innovative Policies for Agricultural Transformation. CGIAR System Board Chair, Lindiwe Majele Sibanda, will participate in a ministerial session. CIMMYT Director General, Bram Govaerts, will also speak at the event.
