Emerging and neglected zoonoses

This strand of work aims to pre-empt the emergence and spread of zoonoses with epidemic and pandemic potential at the interface of wildlife, livestock, and people, including in bushmeat value chains, through a range of methods including surveillance, identification of high-risk behaviors and geographies, and epidemiological-behavioral modeling. It also aims to reduce incidence of zoonotic pathogens associated with poverty by demonstrating and scaling cost-effective control through integrated provision of public health and veterinary services.
