Initiative:
Livestock and Climate
Research activities: System-level research and interventions for building resilient, low-emission livestock production systems
Building climate-related resilience in livestock agrifood systems is a priority. This includes promoting robust, socially inclusive governance of land and natural resources, and ensuring that all relevant stakeholders are involved in land-use planning. Regenerative livestock activities, and initiatives to strengthen appropriate integration of trees, are helping reverse degradation and restore land, particularly rangelands.
