Research activities: Promoting gender transformative approaches

Gender transformative approaches are ways to intervene in agrifood systems at a deeper level by targeting the structures that create social inequalities, for example by blocking women’s access to financial services and entrepreneurship opportunities. HER+ researchers are working with stakeholders to identify leverage points for reducing these constraints, and feed this evidence into the development of gender transformative approaches, working alongside other CGIAR initiatives and partners in Nigeria, Mali, Tanzania and India.
