Training and Development: What's New

  • FLDP Spanish Version: FLDP courses in Spanish may soon be available to CGIAR staff. Read more.

  • Scientific Writing Course: Following numerous requests from HR Managers for scientific writing courses for CGIAR staff, SAS HR has identified a company that offers a wide range of capacity-building training courses tailored to meet the communication needs of research organizations and NGOs. Read more.

  • Facilitation to the Fore: Come September, CGIAR staff will be able to take part in a Training of Facilitators Workshop using Visualization in Participatory Programmes (VIPP). Read more.

  • FLDP Follow-Up: The CGIAR has invested heavily in the development of its managers through the FLDP. Since it was first introduced in 2004, the program has impacted more than a 100 participants from various CGIAR Centers. Read more.

First Level Leadership Development Program (FLDP) in Nairobi

  • The First Level Leadership Development Program (FLDP) was recently conducted amid the lush greenery of ICRAF’s campus in Nairobi, Kenya. Organized mainly for staff in the region, the CIMMYT-hosted event attracted participants from CIMMYT, ICRAF, ICARDA and the WorldFish Center. Read more.

SAS HR goes to India

  • In June 2007, HR managers from across the CGIAR came together on ICRISAT’s campus in Hyderabad, India, for the SAS-HR Working Group Meeting. The event, which was piggybacked onto the CGIAR Gender & Diversity Program’s annual jamboree, provided an opportunity to update participants on recent SAS-HR activities and inform them of plans for the second half of 2007. ICARDA joins the SAS HR

  • We are pleased to announce that ICARDA has recently joined the SAS HR as a Participating Center. This move will allow ICARDA to benefit from on-site expertise and preferential SAS HR services, along with reduced prices on SAS HR courses and programs. Read more.
