Republic of South Africa

The Republic of South Africa became a member of the CGIAR in 1997. The Republic's official support to the CGIAR is provided through the Ministry of Agriculture and Land Affairs, within which the National Department of Agriculture serves as the CGIAR's primary contact. The 2001 CGIAR Mid Term Meeting was held in Durban.
