The Philippines

The Philippines became a member of the CGIAR in 1980, and is the host of the CGIAR's International Rice Research Institute (IRRI) in Los Baños. The Philippines' official support to the CGIAR is provided through the Ministry of Agriculture, in which the Bureau of Agricultural Research serves as the CGIAR's primary contact.
