Indonesia
Indonesia became a member of the CGIAR in 1993, and is the host of the Center for International Forestry Research (CIFOR). Indonesia's official support to the CGIAR is provided through the Agency for Forestry Research and Development in the Ministry of Forestry and Estate Crops. In addition to CIFOR, three other CGIAR Centers have programs based in Indonesia: the International Potato Center (CIP), the International Center for Research on Agroforestry (ICRAF), and the International Rice Research Institute (IRRI). In May 1996, the Government of Indonesia hosted the CGIAR 1996 Mid Term Meeting in Jakarta.
