Germany

Germany became a member of the CGIAR in 1971, and was one of the Group's sixteen original investors. Germany's official support to the CGIAR is provided by the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ). In May 2000, the city of Dresden was the site of the CGIAR 2000 Mid Term Meeting.
