Colombia

Colombia became a member of the CGIAR in 1994. Its official support to the CGIAR is provided through the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development. Colombia is the host country of the International Center for Tropical Agriculture (CIAT). The CGIAR's International Maize and Wheat Improvement Center (CIMMYT) and International Livestock Research Institute (ILRI) also maintain research programs based in Colombia.
