Ian Goldin

Ian Goldin was chief executive of the Development Bank of South Africa, vice president of the World Bank, and director of policy for the World Bank Group. Ian was an advisor to Nelson Mandela on economics. Before that he was a principal economist at the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development and the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development.
Ian is the director of the Oxford Martin School and professor of globalization and development at the University of Oxford. The Oxford Martin School is the leading global center for research on critical future trends in agriculture, economics and society, science, technology, and health.
Ian has been knighted (Chevalier) by France and elected a Global Leader of Tomorrow by the World Economic Forum. His thirteen books include The Economics of Sustainable Development, Globalization for Development, The Future of Agriculture, Economic Reform and Agricultural Development, and recently Exceptional People.
