CGIAR/FAO Exhibit at World Food Day - October 18, 2004

The FAO and CGIAR launched an exhibit on food security and biodiversity on the occasion of World Food Day 2004. The exhibit opened on October 18th in the lobby of the United Nations building in New York City. The exhibit will run for 2 weeks. The guest of honor was Mr. Steven C. Rockefeller Jr, in recognition of the Rockefeller family's historic commitment to sustainable agriculture. Present at the launch were Jacques Diouf, Director-General FAO, Emile Frison, Director General IPGRI, Kanayo Kwanze, Director General, the Africa Rice Center (and Chair of the Center Directors Committee) and Carlos Sere, Director General, ILRI plus several hundred participants.
