Travel and Transportation
AGM2006 participants must make their own airport arrival and
departure transfer arrangements to and from the Hilton Washington
Hotel. Airport taxis at Dulles Airport, National Airport and BWI
Airport are readily accessible.
The cost of a one way taxi fare from Dulles Airport to the
Hilton Washington Hotel and vice versa is approximately US$55 with
travel time of about 40 minutes.
From Reagan/National Airport, it is approximately US$20 and 15
minutes travel time.
From BWI Airport, it is approximately US$65 and one hour travel
time.
Participants can also access Metro rail service from National
Airport to the Hilton Washington Hotel by traveling first to Metro
Center and then taking the Red Line to Dupont Circle. The process
is reversed for Metro rail service from the Hilton Washington Hotel
to National Airport. Dupont Circle is located about four city
blocks from the Hilton Washington Hotel.
Mark train rail transportation between BWI Airport and Union
Station in downtown Washington, DC, is also available Monday
through Friday, 0500 to2130, at a one way cost of US$6. On the
weekends, participants may use Amtrak rail service, 0500 to 2300,
at a one way cost of between US$11 and US$18.
Ground Transportation between the Hilton Washington
Hotel and the World Bank: Organized ground transportation
between the Hilton Washington Hotel and the World Bank will not be
provided. However, taxis outside the Hilton Washington Hotel and
the World Bank are plentiful and the ride time is less than 15
minutes.
Return Travel Confirmations : Facilities will
be available at the Hilton Washington Hotel for AGM2006
participants to make return travel confirmations.
