CSO-CGIAR Forum - Tuesday December 5th, 2006
Tentative Program

0900 Welcome (Plenary) - The CGIAR Director will discuss expectations for the Forum, the day's agenda and the importance of each person's participation in this open dialog.

0915 Introductions - Participants will have a chance to introduce themselves to as many others as possible in 10 minutes.

0930 Finding Common Ground ("World Café") - In a relaxed café-type setting, participants will engage in two rounds of informal dialog (changing tables for each round) centered on the challenges that CSOs and the CGIAR share in common and the benefits they derive, as well as the obstacles they face, in addressing these challenges together.

1100 Break

1130 Reflecting on Past and Future Partnerships ("Chat Show") - Four guests, all having extensive experience with CSO-CGIAR partnerships, will take center stage with a chat show host to talk about the background, recent history and future possibilities of CSO-CGIAR engagement.

1230 Lunch

1400 Sharing Lessons from Experience (Discussion Circles) - Posters prepared for the Innovation Marketplace will be presented briefly to small groups of Forum participants. They will then have a chance to share reactions to the CSO-CGIAR initiatives presented, to discuss lessons learned and to compare these initiatives with their own experiences.

1500 Break

1530 Creating Avenues for Working Together (Discussion Circles) - The same small groups will reconvene after break to offer ideas and identify opportunities for improving CSO-CGIAR partnerships in future collaborative initiatives.

1630 Closure and Next Steps (Plenary) - Winners of the cash prizes will be announced, and a call for proposals will be launched for major new initiatives aimed at enhancing CSO-CGIAR engagement.
