Conference



The First Global Conference on Biofortification is taking place on November 9-11, 2010, in Washington, D.C., USA. Organized by the HarvestPlus Challenge Program of the CGIAR, this is the first international effort to take stock of progress, share lessons learned and chart the future of biofortification. This 3-day event will bring together agricultural scientists, public health specialists, policymakers, donors and business leaders to advance this emerging agricultural intervention for public health. Ayman Abou Hadid Wins 2010 Egypt State Award in Agricultural Science

Ayman Abou Hadid, president of the Egypt Agricultural Research Center, was given the 2010 State Award in Agricultural science by the Egyptian Academy of Science and Technology on behalf of the Prime Minister of Egypt. The award was granted in recognition of his contribution to Egypt's knowledge, research and information in the field of agriculture. Abou Hadid represents Egypt as a Member of the CGIAR and works in close partnership with several CGIAR Centers.
