Visas for Travel to China

IMPORTANT! If you have not already received your visa, it is very unlikely you will receive it in time. Please do not move forward with your travel plans. There is no facility to grant visas at the airport on arrival.

Visa applications will not be accepted after November 23rd, for travel to China on December 1 or later.

For meeting attendees requiring assistance in obtaining a Chinese visa, please do the following:

1. Complete the matrix available here ---> Click here to download the form (.xls file)

2. Return the form to the CGIAR Secretariat by email (cgiar@cgiar.org)

The CGIAR Secretariat will forward the information to the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences (CAAS). Once the participant receives the authorization from CAAS he/she can then proceed to the Chinese Embassy/Consulate in their country to receive the Chinese visa.
