Beijing Airport Arrival and Transfer to Hotels

The CGIAR team will have staff at the International Arrivals Hall on November 25 through December 3, from 08:00 – 20:00, to assist travelers arriving to hire a taxi to their hotel. Please read the below procedures that outline how to obtain this assistance upon your arrival to Beijing.

  • Once you pass customs and arrive at the International Arrivals Hall, look for a Pacific World Travel representative holding a sign with the CGIAR AGM07 logo. They will give you a card written in Chinese with your Beijing Grand Continental Hotel/Crowne Plaza Hotel address and help you hire a taxi. You will be directed to the taxi waiting area (outside Gate 5 of the terminal). You should hand the card to your driver so they know where to take you as very few taxi drivers speak English.

  • Click here for the names and addresses of the two AGM07 hotels in English and in Chinese. We recommend that travelers print the file and travel with this document in case they arrive outside the times mentionned above..
  • A one way taxi fare from the Beijing Capital International Airport to the Beijing Grand Continental Hotel/Crowne Plaza Hotel costs approximately RMB80 - RMB90. Please have local currency. The ride will take approximately 30 minutes.

  • CAUTION: Do not to use pirate cabs! The drivers of these cabs usually hang around outside the arrival terminal and will ask people if they need a taxi. Pirate cabs are very expensive and are not trustworthy. Do not take these cabs even if there is a long taxi queue.
