Welcome to New Board Chairs

Getachew Engida , Director and Comptroller of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization, succeeded Gaston Grenier as Africa Rice Board Chair on 1 April.

Ruth Egger-Tschaeppeler , a renowned financial sector specialist supporting the Swiss Development Cooperation, became the CIP Board Chair on 1 May when Jim Godfrey's term ended.

Stein Bie, ecological dairy farmer and Research Scientist at the Agricultural University of Norway, succeeded Simon Best as Board Chair of ICRISAT effective 1 May.

Elizabeth Jean Woods , Executive Director of Innovation and Biosecurity Investments at the Queensland Department of Primary Industries and Fisheries, succeeded Keijiro Otsuka as IRRI Board Chair on 1 January.

Remo Gautschi , Deputy Director-General of the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation of the Department of Foreign Affairs, became WorldFishCenter Board Chair effective 1 May when Trond Bjorndal's term ended.
