Science in Action - A Visit to INRA

AGM participants were invited to a traditional Moroccan lunch at the INRA research station in Marrakech on Wednesday, December 7, followed by a tour of exhibits of INRA's main research thrusts -- olives, mountains and date palm. At each exhibit, INRA staff introduced the exhibits, presenting the challenges faced in the region along with various solutions to research objectives. Moroccan farmers also participated in the presentations which gave participants ample opportunity to understand the issues and concerns faced by local producers. Participants were also treated to samples of Morocco's finest olives and mountains of delicious dates.
