Ian Johnson announced to membership that he had informed the World Bank President of his intention to leave the Bank. He pledged to arrange a smooth transition for the Chairmanship of the CGIAR using the process as outlined in the CGIAR Charter, helping to guarantee a seemless and effective succession.


David Kaimowitz will resign as Director General of CIFOR at the end of his term in 2006.


Adel El-Beltagy will assume the Chairmanship of the Global Forum on Agricultural Research (GFAR) when he relinquishes his position of Director General at ICARDA in 2006.
